Liver Kidney Microsomal Antibody


General
  Clinical Use: Positive in a small group of patients with Type 2 autoimmune hepatitis and with drug-induced hepatitis. Associated with aggressive hepatitis in children. Autoantibodies occur in a proportion of patients with chronic hepatitis C and D infections. Routinely tested in tissue antibody screens.
  Availability: Samples are tested twice weekly.
