Neutrophil Function Tests

General

Clinical Use:

Diagnosis of neutrophil deficiency diseases which lead to recurrent bacterial or fungal diseases. Test includes NBT, DHR, chemotaxis, opsonisation and phagocytosis.

Sodium Heparin,No Gel x 2 (NAGREEN), and, EDTA (LAVENDER), and, Serum, no gel (RED),

12mL Sodium Heparin; 1mL EDTA; 2mL CLOT

Collection Instructions:

Patient must book an appointment and have bloods taken at QEII site.

Processing Instructions:

Process sample immediately on arrival in laboratory.
The testing department should be contacted to arrange collection of sample from CSRA.
Store all samples at room temperature.
