Collection Requirements
  Container: Lithium Heparin, No Gel (DKGNLITH),  
  Sample Type: See container
  Minimum Collection Volume: 1.5mL
  Collection Instructions: Patient must be fasting.
Patient should be supine for 30 minutes prior to collection. Please record supine duration on request form.
Document drug history on request form if possible.
Collect sample on ice.
If sample will not reach laboratory within 4 hours of collection, it must be centrifuged and separated.


Processing Requirements
  Alternate Containers:
  Processing Instructions: Centrifuge, separate and freeze sample.
  Minimum Assay Volume: 0.5mL
  Stability: 4 hours chilled (Whole blood); 24 hours chilled (Plasma)
  Transport Instructions (to testing laboratory): Send separated sample frozen on dry ice.
