Neonatal Septic Screen


General
  Clinical Use: Investigation of neonatal sepsis screening. Fluids and secretions swallowed by the baby prior to and during delivery may be present in the gastric aspirate. Ears and umbilicus may harbour microorganisms of clinical significance to the neonate.
  Availability: Samples are tested routinely during the testing laboratory's hours of operation.
