Test Entry - Detail

B and T Cell Gene Rearrangements

General
Clinical Use: Assessment of the clonality status of antigen receptor gene rearrangements in B and T cells is useful for the diagnosis of leukaemias and lymphomas. It is also used to establish the clonal relationship for different lymphoproliferative diseases and to monitor minimum residual disease.
Such rearrangements serve as a marker of clonality but may not indicate lineage specific differentiation.
Availability: Samples are tested routinely during the testing laboratory's hours of operation.
Please contact testing laboratory for urgent requests.
