Vitamin B12


General
  Clinical Use: Diagnosis of cause of anaemia or neuropathy. Evaluation of nutritional status in some patients and to monitor compliance with treatment for B12 deficiency. Where total vitamin B12 is 250pmol/L or less, reflex Holotranscobalamin (HCT or Active B12)will be performed.
  Availability: Samples are tested routinely during the testing laboratory's hours of operation.
