Beta-2 Microglobulin (Urine)
General
| |
Clinical Use:
In normal individuals beta-2-microglobulin is found in both the serum and the urine. Proximal tubular dysfunction results in elevated concentrations of urinary beta-2-microglobulin thereby providing a means of distinguishing proximal tubular from glomerular renal diseases. |
