HLA Crossmatch - Allogeneic (Donor)


General
  Clinical Use: The allogeneic HLA flow cytometry crossmatch is used to detect HLA antibodies by crossmatching in potential organ transplant recipients against the cells of potential donors, as well as in women with histories of frequent spontaneous abortions against their spouses cells.
  Availability: Samples are tested Tuesday-Friday.

Collection Requirements
  Container: Acid Citrate Dextrose x 3 (ACD),  
  Sample Type: See container
  Minimum Collection Volume: 20mL
  Collection Instructions: ALL allogeneic crossmatches MUST be pre-booked through the WAKTS website or through the testing laboratory.
Cross reference to Patient.
Collect sample Monday-Thursday only.
Do not collect prior to public holidays.

  Processing Instructions: Do not centrifuge sample.
Store sample at room temperature.
  Minimum Assay Volume: 20mL
