Anti-Muscle Specific Kinase


General
  Clinical Use: Muscle Specific Kinase (MuSK) is a membrane protein which orchestrates the clustering of the acetylcholine receptors (AChR) under the motor nerve terminal of each muscle fibre. It is thought to be restricted to muscle and in adult life is only found at the neuromuscular junction and IgG antibodies to MuSK have been implicated in the pathogenesis of AChR-Ab-seronegative Myasthenia Gravis.
  Availability: Samples are batched and tested once every two months due to kit availability.
